Therapeutic applications are specifically directed to the treatment of cancer patients following chemotherapy. Further disclosed are methods, kits, and pharmaceutical compositions for increasing the white blood cell survival in such patients, as well as methods by which hematopoietic progenitor cells may be mobilized from bone marrow into the peripheral blood.
