Title:Modulation of primary stem cell differentiation using an insulin-like growth factor binding protein
Inventors:Kraus, Morey; Jefferson, MA, USA
Deng, Hongkui; Framingham, MA, USA
Liu, Liqin; Framingham, MA, USA
Summary:Described herein are methods of inhibiting the differentiation of a cultured CD34+CD38?- cell, via modulation of the primary, human hematopoietic progenitor stem cell poopulation in culture. Further described are methods of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor in the cell by contacting the cell with insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 to inhibit differentiation. Methods and materials are disclosed.
Abstract:The present invention features methods of modulating primary stem cell differentiation in culture by altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor.
